Angela Van Boxtel
Eco Art & Designer
Angela van Boxtel is a Northern Beaches based eco artist who specialises in using old school techniques like weaving, crochet and knitting, to modernise and upcycle waste materials into fabulous swimwear, accessories and furnishings.
Her playful projects and workshops show just how much fun it is change the way you look at the world – for her everything is a resource, whether it’s a bit of old string or a plastic bag that should be kept out of the ocean.
Angela lives the ‘less is more’ strategy and has proved that less waste eventually pays for it self. Her ideas are always engaging, original and ever evolving.
Angela’s work has captured international attention and she is in high demand with local councils, festivals and events, schools and businesses.
In 2018 she was artist in residence at Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre.
As an artist and designer Angela’s workshops with our Mash It Up! participating schools in 2018 and 2019 have been truly inspirational.
