ABOUT WASTE NOT
Before The War On Waste there was WASTE NOT. We made this multi-award-winning documentary film about how to transition to a waste-free world. Scientists, gardeners and even an inner city chef showed us who keeps our big cities sparkling, where our garbage goes and what it’s worth if it isn’t just tossed away. Our optimistic message has been a hit with schools, local councils, corporates and TAFEs, as well as screening in 30 countries around the world, and on Qantas and the Australia Network. Find out how to screen it here.
TRASHION STATEMENTS THAT MEAN SOMETHING
Creating WASTE NOT Trashion is a way to empower a whole new generation of ‘conscious consumers” to change the world by finding the solutions to negative human impacts on the planet, and creating awareness of the toxic wastefulness of the global fashion industry.
WHAT IS WASTE NOT TRASHION?
We know young people today are really worried about the planet. We designed WASTE NOT Trashion to give them hope. We inspire high school students all over Australia to create a sustainable future by becoming proactive “conscious consumers”. We don’t preach, we make it fun.
OUR MENTORS AND JUDGES
We have scoured both the fashion and recycling sectors for innovators whose ingenuity, craft skills and commitment to sustainability set an inspiring example to our WASTE NOT Trashionistas.
